6 Reasons to stay on Blogger

Since the launch of WordPress and Blogger, there's war not between the two CMS but between it's users. Those who use Blogger takes the blogger's side and those who use WP stays at it's side. These two CMS have there own pros and cons and you can use any one, this post is just for a reference.
If you are in a forum or group with bloggers using different CMS, you will see them arguing over which is the better blogging platform. I am on Blogger and many blogger in my contact suggest me to join WordPress for many reasons and i won't have any problem switching to it but there are reasons why i don't switch to WordPress now.
six reasons to use blogger and not wordpress fight war competition of CMS
If you had ever read an article for starting your blog with WordPress then you will want to join WordPress but there are several reasons you shouldn't join WordPress now and I am listing it below.

Six reasons to start blogging with Blogger

Note : These are my own personal opinion and i am not trying to force you to stay with Blogger.

1. Starting a blog with Blogger is easy

If you are starting a new blog then the most important thing you should always focus on is your writing and if you start blogging with Blogger then you don't have to worry about the anything else than your content.
But if you choose WP to begin a blogging career then you will put yourself into complicated process of setting up your blog and putting it online. Guys like me with web developing skills will find it easy and can setup WordPress blog but if you don't know about hosting files and databases on hosting servers then you can just mess your blog up.

2. Blogger is fully customizable

Blogger is more easy to customize with their template designer and custom CSS. You also have the access to your blog's template and you can edit the HTML source to put more features that any website can have, blogger is just like a normal site. There's not much difference in a Blogger site and a normal site then i don't understand why people using WordPress explains that blogger is not customizable? If you have the right idea then you can make any customization just like an WP blog.
WP is also customizable but if you are using the free version then you can't even add your own CSS whereas Blogger is free with all customization options.

3. Hosting? It's free and on Google

When you will use blogger you won't need to worry about the hosting, your blog's databases are secured on Google's CDN, what can be better than a Google hosted website/blog ? Again, it's all for free and the bandwidth is also unlimited.
Because a blogger blog's databases are hosted on people assumes that the blog is hosted by Google and it can delete your blog anytime ! But people with hosting service are completely safe ? No, your files can also be deleted anytime without any notice from your hosting server.
The owner of the main contents on your blog is you, thus you can download the backup files anytime and if you have a custom domain then you can easily transfer your backup on a new blog without even losing traffic and that's the beauty.

4. Coding knowledge is not necessary

Let's say you want to start a blog to write about your pet store and you decided to start with WordPress, what you see is complicated procedure, first you have to start a blog, then signup for a hosting service then download and upload  WordPress on your server and then you can start blogging somewhere, this is not just time wasting but also you have to spend lots of money. You will get themes for your blog at rates starting from $40. At every point you will have to face difficulties and even there is a one line mistake on any of your database file on your server your whole website will stop working and you again have to redo it. And it seems impossible if you don't have good knowledge of coding, usually people start blog for their personal use and learning codes for setting up a blog is useless.
On Blogger, just sign up with a Google account, name your blog, choose a web address and a theme and get started. What can be easy as that ? You get everything for free from hosting to templates and you don't even need coding knowledge to design your weblog, just open the template designer in Blogger and give it the look you want..

5. Blogger is not good for SEO?

The sentence i hate the most from anybody, most of those who says this are generally from WordPress and some from Blogger (frustrated bloggers). People believe that WordPress is good for SEO and Blogger is not.Blogger is a Google product and you think Blogger is not good for SEO? Now i don't say that Blogger blogs get a plus point for SEO as for being from Google product but they would neither give Blogger a minus point in terms of SEO.
And why would Google start giving more importance to blog sorting by the CMS used ? Always remember CMS is just 'Content Management System' but the real contents comes from you, so whichever platform you are using don't worry about SEO as it depends on the content you create.

6. Blogger is for Blogging

Blogger is actually for blogging. WordPress is used for multiple purposes, such as creating e-commerce site etc and that's why the procedure to set up a WP site is difficult because they are optimized for being blog and also a website.
For the blogging i will always choose Blogger, but for my Web Designing projects, Blogger won't work so well. But Blogger is a complete tool for writing and publishing it.

+1 reason - Blogger blogs are spam free

Do you know why do you hear so many cases of blogger blog's getting deleted or removed ? That's because Google want to keep the Blogosphere clean and just to maintain that a blog that seems to be spam is reviewed and if it is found to be spam and violating the TOS it gets removed.
As far as i know WP don't delete blogs even if it is a spam but wait do you think they can make their way in ? To get a good popularity and most important good traffic they need better rankings on Google and if the blog is found to be spam then it will be removed instantly from Google search results and can be permanently banned.

I don't oppose WordPress

After reading the above stuffs you will call me a WordPress hater but i don't hate WordPress, it's also a great tool and that's why people use it and even i use it for my web designing projects but there are some myths about Blogger in people's mind and this post was written just to tell them that Blogger is not worth using and should be left just for WordPress.

What do you think ?

There are pros and cons of both the CMS i talk about in this blog post and shared my thought as a web designer. Tell us your own opinions for Blogger for Wordpress and also share your thought and experience with any of those CMS, we would like to here from you.

Google+ tab option in Blogger interface

Since the launch of Google+, almost every part of Google had change and Blogger is also one of them. Recently blogger have made some changes and attached Google+ as tab in Blogger dashboard.
Google+ have made things easier for Bloggers, it's became easier to connect your G+ to your blogger and display authorship information in searches. You may be familiar with the feature of Blogger to switch to a Google+ profile instead of a Blogger profile and that was one of the most discussed change. The reason many people didn't liked it was they weren't able to post with their nickname they used in their blogger profile instead they had to post with their Google+ name, most people prefer nickname from real name in blogger.

What's inside the option

I am bit disappointed this time, there's no new features. If you haven't switched to Google+ profile for blogger then you will see invitation to Upgrade to Google+ and if you are already using Google+ for your blogger then you will see the details of your Google+ and couple of settings regarding your G+ profile for Blogger.
Just a reminder from Blogger that you can connect your Google+ to Blogger. And i think you must try it, because you have the option to revert back Blogger profile under 90 days. Give it a try and experience a brand new feeling of Google+Blogger

With this change i think we will get to see more new features on Blogger in future.

Focus on SEO or the Content ?

To become a professional blogger you also need to have good numbers of readers on your blog which is only possible when you get traffic through search engines but do you only focus on optimizing your search engine rankings ? Let's learn why content is prior.
What i see in most of the case of unsuccesful blogging is that they don't care about the content but one thing that they have heard is SEO and start playing tricks to get good ranks in search engines. In 3 or 4 months when some starts their blogging career they start worrying about their search engine rankings and search internet for an easy and fast way to improve their rankings but is there an easy way to achieve a successful blogging career ? Improving search ranks is only what you have to do to become popular ?

This is what i notice in almost every new bloggers, there are yet some smart folks having good knowledge of how blogging works and have some strong strategies. But in many newbies some things are common which you can read below

Start blogging for Money ?

Everyday i see many peoples starting a blog because they heard somewhere that people can earn money with blogging. Blogging is surely a good way to earn money but it's not only about earning, it's about your writting skills, your knowledge and your consistency. And most of those who start a tech blog assume that tech blogging can give them some good amount of $$$ but do you think that someone will get money for doing nothing.

How they start blogging is that make a blog and title it something very attractive but when you open it you will see some stupid nonsense post either copied or written very poorly. So that concludes that starting a blog doesn't actually gives you a guaranteed license to earn money through it.If you are new then don't worry, everyone was new when they started blogging, but they are at a stage where you can also be, but put your hardwork and knowledge to write on your blog.

Tip for tech bloggers : Just don't post content which is common to everyone, for example 'How to lock your computer', 'How to extract RAR files' these post will never help you cause you will find thousands of result before you result posted back in 2006 or earlier. You have to find your own great idea and post on it so it's new to everyone and you get more readers.

Does only tech bloggers earn money ?

The internet itself is a tech stuff and you will see more blogs on topics like technology and computer but it's not true if you say that only tech bloggers earns money and have good number of readers. Blogging is not only about tech but it covers a vast list of category. There are bloggers in photography field earning more than a tech bloggers does, the reason is that most of the people on internet are not tech savvy and they just want to leave the back end of the internet uknown, they want to have fun seeing photographs, reading recipes, learning about baby sitting and etc. Although internet was developed to serve people information in any field without picking up a heavy book from libary. But when someone sits on internet whole day and with their little knowledge about computer they just think that they are good in computers and there knowledge and ideas are truly new but the knowledge is yet common. You can't learn anything just by using it practically, read books about it and also read articles and tutorials yourself.

If you ask me then i would say that i didn't learnt web designing just by having some little knowledge about HTML or CSS etc, before i started the blog I had put over 3 month to learn more about it, and every day i gave about 7 hours to read about web languages and that's how i am a web designer now and blogging on it.

What should i do ?

After reading both the sections you may have come to know that blogging is easy if you are actually interested in it, not only tech but the topic you are genius in. But whichever topic you choose one thing is common, hardwork and patience. Blogging is not like do it twice a week and then leave it, you may post as much as you can. There's no specific amount of post you have to make to get a better readership, the only thing here matters is your content and is it a quality content. Search engines is not the most prior thing, first priority is your content and when you have contents and quality contents on your blog then search engines is always happy to index your blog into their rankings and maybe you could get better ranks and when you keep doing it then you are going to become a star in this blogosphere. What i am saying to do you is give time to blogging and don't stop blogging cause you aren't getting good search rankings even after 3 or 4 months of your blogging, i think that even 1 year is not enough to become an established blogger and earn good reputation among other bloggers of your field.

Overall SEO doesn't even matter in he first three months of your blog, in the meantime create genuine content which is supposed to attract peoples and when you have plenty of genuine content on your blog then you can focus on SEO to optimize the rankings of your content in the search engines rankings. If you follow this strategy then successfully blogging becomes enjoyable and you will love your blog and your readers

Infolinks getting into the HTML5 mode

Since the start of 2012, HTML5 and CSS3 took over the internet and the two most popular website Google  and Facebook painted them with HTML5 and the CSS3 and that was not the end many small sites also began to redesign. Interface in any website with HTML5 support is more easier and that's what Blogger, Google, Facebook and many other sites. Now Infolinks the most famous intext advertisement program is also added in this list.
Infolinks says the new publisher interface is currently in beta. The design overall looks elegant and more like Google's interface but the only thing i am missing is the light blue trademark color of Infolinks.

Infolinks doesn't look really Infolinks without it's light blue color on the user interface. But the Infolinks new user interface doesn't seem to be fully HTML5, i mean to say that the dynamic feature a user interface must have isn't in the new user interface.

At the start of this post i said with HTML5 and CSS3, but there could have been more improvements made with the latest standards of these languages.

Apart from the looks, quick loading of pages in a user interface is important to keep the user engaged, using AJAX will give them loading without refreshing the page again. They have used background images with pictures instead of using simple gradient property.

The conclusion is that whoever was appointed to design the interface knows coding well but don't have creativity and they don't know how can a website look good.

What Alexa is exactly about? - Explained

Alexa rankings are now seen before someone buys a website or want to advertise on it. It ranks a web site on the basis of it's traffic and demographics count. But this is just a common description about Alexa, there is more you need to know about Alexa for getting a better rank in Alexa.

Millions of webmasters now use Alexa site as a tool to check the traffic rank of any website or blog, lower number in your rank means higher value. Undoubtedly Google is the number 1 because it has the highest traffic than any other site on Alexa.

But driving traffic to the site is all what Alexa sees ? Read ahead

Just traffic increases your Alexa ranking ?

Alexa ranks sites on basis of it's traffic, so it's obvious that Alexa ranks a site better because it have some good traffic. But traffic can be now bought on many sources that's not a good mark for a blog or website. I have seen many Facebook page owners offering to share traffic from their site for some $s. And newbies bloggers, who just want to increase traffic accepts to pay and buy the traffic. But did that increased your traffic, the answer is no.

I have experimented myself, a blog getting more than 10k pageviews ranked lower than my blog getting about 2k Pageviews per day. And that happened only because the traffic i got on my blog was 70% from search engines but the traffic on other blog was from Facebook.

Now we come to the point that organic traffic is what you want, so buying traffic from Facebook or any other illegal sources can harm your own site and you better keep away from them to make your blog look more professional. If you aren't getting much traffic then never loose hope, if you are making great contents with hardwork then you will see rapid growth of readership on your blog or website.

So, how to get organic traffic ?

The recipe for organic traffic is easy. Make contents on your blog that's useful for others and those which is being searched by others on Google and search engines. You need some Good Blogging tips to learn blogging step by step. I will be adding tips on blogging everyday so subscribe our blog for updates.

Publishing new post on your blog always increases the chance of getting higher ranks on Alexa as you are supposed to get a bit of traffic from your new content as well.

Displaying wrong Authorship in Google search results ?

One of the best feature 'Authorship markup' is obviously great for authors of blogs and websites, it takes some time to update in Google Search results but feels good when it do, it gives more accessibility for users to see the author of the blog. But the fun is ruined because of some errors that Google is facing.Let's talk
After the launch of Google+ thousands of people started verifying their authorship for their Blog to get a good display in the search results, it's very useful for SEO, at least people like to view sites that have authorship verified because it looks professional then.

When i added the tags to verify my authorship, it took some days to properly show in the Google search results. It's feels very good to have some credits on the search results.

But a major issue has arisen, the first time i saw it was in Blogger Help Forum in this thread where a woman faced this issue and to get some help she posted the question on the forum. It feels awkward when someone else is credited for your work, wouldn't it ? The problem was not as easy to understand as i thought, the issue was very new to me and i didn't even knew what to do. But there are some points which you may remember and understand.
  1. There were no authorship markup tag to the incorrectly display author information Google account
  2. When checked in Webmaster Rich Snippet tools it didn't showed any verified markup
  3. There was no link to the blog (which was displaying wrong author info.) in the 'About' section of the Google+ account that was appearing in the Google search of that blog.
All these three points tells us that it's an error that is done by the Google system, because none of the people who owns the Blog, who is being appearing on a blog that they don't author.

I was not sure how to help with that question and was new to the problem, first of all i checked the blog's source code and i didn't find tag that cause any other Google account to show on the authorship information on the search results. Now i was confused myself, but thought about it for a minute and came up with solution that will work correctly.

The idea was to redirect your Google profile to make it appear on under your blog's search results. When someone's else profile is showing under your blog authorship info then why not your's will display when you add your markup tags ?

You just need to know how to add Authorship markup to your Blogger Blog, i have also written it on the thread in a reply or just check this tutorial

Now check your your blog in Rich Snippet Testing tool if you did everything correct (adding authorship tag) then a demo preview will be display, but your blog will not show Authorship markup, as it takes some days for it to successfully appear in the search results. It took about 10 days or more for me.

Here how it looks when you implemented the authorship markup validation tags to your blogs HTML. Just remember to add a good looking photo of yours of 260px*260px it's ideal size picture to be displayed on Google search results.

But what if it's not even showing correctly in the Rich Snippet tools or you are facing other problems that don't seem to be fixed ? Then refer to these forums

If you are sure that your problem is what we posted about and still no success, then please post these details in the Comments
  • Full Name
  • Blog Address
  • Search term where you see wrong authorship info.
  • Google+ account (if you have one)
That's it, we will try our best investigate your issue and help you.

Earn money online by writing

Today internet is a huge medium for many people to earn money online, and today i will highlight one of the easiest way to earn money online, writing!

Many people today earn money online and everyone is allowed to earn money online if they have talent and knowledge. There are yet many other ways to earn money online other than writing such as cyber-squatting (crime) and other spamming ideas, which is not good, earning money with your talent is always good and you gain reputation.

Most people with good knowledge of their fields writes about it on their blog, people with similar interest reads it and enjoys, and the advertisement displayed on their blogs/website make them earn money. If you are good in something, then you might write blogs on it.

But the problem is you have to wait and keep patience as it needs contents on your blog to be able to earn more online, it would take time for you and your blog attract readers, so it's good way but not suitable for people who want fast money.

iWriter.com is a something that you are looking for, it's based on content writing. iWriter will let you make money just for writing about a specific topic, you are not free to write content on your own topic, other people who wants articles for their blog or website offer other writers on iWriter to write for them, if you write something that the Client loved and want it on their website or blog etc. you will be paid money for it, even if you write 10 articles perday and 5 got approved then you are in good profit. Along with this you can earn money also by starting a blog on side and also write on iWriter.

The art of writing in very precious and even if you have full knowledge about something but you will need the art of writing, so you have to work hard on it also. If you think you are good then don't just let you talent go wasted, use it.

You get paid only for what you deserve so hardwork is the most important thing, people won't just give money to someone for what they don't deserve even you, yet many people ask me 'how to earn money' online and i answer them 'with hardwork and patience' whatever you do or write like a fashion blog, tech blog or etc. you have to put your hardwork into it to get the fruit. You have to take time to learn about it and then write something.

Using small picture background for better Experience

Most of new bloggers use big pictures for their thumbnail to illustrate their blog, the blog looks quite good but the main problem is loading time, even delay of micro seconds may cause low pagrank, speed matters alot in Pagerank. So read this to know how to prevent this.

Many new bloggers don't know the value of fast load speed of their blog, and without knowing anything about it they use big pictures for their blog background, i know design is important, but having pictures as background that will take time to load might make your load slow and also make it look unprofessional.

Blogger's custom option gives you option for a large variety of pics that you can set as your background at the spot, but there's also option for you to upload your own picture for the blog background. If you use pictures from blogger's gallery then you and your visitors have to suffer
slow loading time, that no one likes. If you see my background picture on this blog, you can see that i have only used a 127*127 picture that's only 8kb in size, which will load in seconds, but if i choose a big picture it would have taken some time to first load the background.

For this post i have prepared some good background pictures that you would like to apply on your blog or website.

These photos are all for you, if you request me to make a background to fit your needs please feel free to drop your comments. I would like to design a background for you.

10 Reasons to use Infolinks for you site

Infolinks, an In-Text ad serving network started in May 2007 by a small but talented team of Engineers has become a big name today.
Infolinks is a very big name today and Millions of Publisher are happily earning with Infolinks. Infolinks is popular for it's in-text ad format, which is very compact and useful, as it don't take much space, the ads are in your texts and thus your visitors can easily view an ad.

There are many more ad serving programs, the problem with other ad serving programs is that they have a big Policy guidelines which is not easy for a person to read and understand the whole Policy, whereas Infolinks have a small but a policy that defines everything, the Policy page uses simple English that anyone can understand and keep in mind.

I was very excited to write this article about Infolinks to tell my readers about Infolinks and why should they use it, because Infolinks is 40% source of my monthly income and the only ad serving program i use, the Infolinks earning is enough for me to run my blog.

10 Reasons why you should use Infolinks
  1. Great for small blogs and websites, no other ad program supports small websites but Infolink does.
  2. Not too big Privacy Policy like the other's programs.
  3. Infolinks engineers are always ready to help in real time through email, you don't get automated emails from computers, talk to the real peoples.
  4. They offer payments through Paypal which is a great option for people who wants their payment to reach them fast.
  5. Integration procedure is very easy, put the JavaScript code once in your template and then customize how your In-text ads should look.
  6. More other ad options along with the in-text ads like Tag Cloud, Related Tags and search widget
  7. Industry's highest paying ad network upto 70% revenue
  8. Your visitors won't be annoyed with the in-text ads as it's on visitor to see the ad or not.
  9. Technology is great, your visitors get to see relevant ads of their interest
  10. Last but not the least, they don't have a policy such as 'We may deactivate your account at any time for any reason', at least Infolinks won't delete your account if your hair color is blue !
This is Infolinks in my views and it's the best if you take opinion of small publishers like me.
This was a quick review of Infolinks by one of it's small but happy publisher.

Blogger finaly shows Quick Edits on Country Specific Domains too !

Quick edit icons were not showing due to country specific redirection Google started for blogger blog, but it got fixed by Google today.

Blogger users were facing difficulties to edit gadgets on their page directly, because they were not able to see the Quick edit buttons, which were gone because of Blogger's country specific domain redirection, which Google has started for comfort to ban a blogger blog in a particular country.

For few months we were not able to access the Quick edit buttons when we were not in our .com version of the blog, some blogger's knew that adding /ncr at end of blog address may help them to access the .com version of their blog and then they can access quick edit buttons, but for most bloggers it was an unknown solution, that's why we were getting questions in Blogger Help forum regularly and so i had to make a post regarded to this problem, you can still see the blog post here

Now that blog post is useless, as Blogger started to show quick edits for country specific domains too, but it really took so many days for Blogger engg. to fix this problem, but they did it. Google is the best and they care about their users more than any other service.

Switch off word verification for comments in Blogger

Many bloggers have complained about how to switch off word verification for blogger blogs, the process is really easy.

These days reCaptcha word verifications are getting harder and due to this readers don't like to post comments on blogs those switched on word verification.

The process to switch it off is easy and don't need to be a professional to do this, you will feel comfortable with pictures demonstrations.

The option to switch off word verification is not available in 'New Blogger Interface', so first we have to go back into old Blogger Interface, to do that follow the step-by-step procedures explained in easy English, not too technical language though.
  1. Log into blogger.com
  2. Now on top of the page there will be a gear icon on top right corner of the page
  3. Click on it and a list will appear, and click on Old Blogger Interface

After clicking on Old Blogger Interface, we will be taken back to the good old interface we used to work in, now we have to find right place where we can make changes to word verification settings, finding it in these large menus becomes little difficult but i will explain with screenshots.
  1. On dashboard click on 'Settings' under the blog you want to switch off word verification for comments.

  2. Under settings menu there will be a sub-menu 'Comments' click on it.

  3. After you click on 'Comments' scroll down to 10th option where you can make changes to word verification settings, just check mark 'NO' if you don't want word verification in your blog.

Scroll down and click on 'Save Settings'.
Now you can switch back to 'New Blogger interface', you will see the option on top, click on it and you will be taken back to the 'New Blogger interface'

Quickedit don't show anymore! Why ?

We will talk about why Blogger don't show Quickedit (the pencil icon) on blogs to edit gadgets on site when logged in.
On January 30th Google started country specific URL redirection, which turns http://stramaxon.blogspot.com/ to http://stramaxon.blogspot.au/ If it's accessed from Australia, it's only for blogs that don't have it's own domain name but an .blogspot.com sub-domain .

The quickedit is not shown because of this, you will only be able to see quickedit pencil icon in .com domains, but because your blog redirects you to .au or .in you won't be able to see quickedit icon.

What if i want quickedit back ?

1. NCR-No Country Redirection : You can easily get back the quickedit buttons on your blog by just putting ncr at end of the blog address, suppose my blog address is http://stramaxon.blogspot.com put ncr at end of the address and it will look like this http://stramaxon.blogspot.com/ncr

2. Hide-my-ip : You can get quickedit icon back by using hide-my-ip software, that will hide your identity that you are in India or Australia etc. and thus it will redirect your blog to you .com and if you are logged in into your blog you will see pencil icon next to your gadgets on page

3. Hide my Ass : Hide my ass also provides same features as hide-my-ip, but with hide my ass you can see a site on the go without installing any softwares.

Will it effect my Page Rank and Search ranks ?

The redirection of .com to country specific URL redirection will not have any effect to your page rank or search ranks, Google will always see your blog address as .com , it only changes if you access the blog from countries where Google redirects URL to country specific URLs.

You will see changes in Alexa rankings if you search your blog as www.myblog.blogspot.au or .in , but it doesn't matter as i said Google will always see your blog address as it used to be.

One final way is to settle in USA.

Facebook pages getting new look 30 March

We will discuss about the new features for Facebook pages as Facebook has made the word out.

Facebook is changing it's features and look time to time, there have been good changes such in Facebook page insight, changes in wall feature etc. and some head scratching changes for some people like The new Facebook timeline. From 2006 to 2012 Facebook has changed alot, and i have seen many changes with my own eyes.

I was just browsing my Facebook fan page when Facebook started showing a message banner on top of my page, it was similar to the timeline invitation. Have a look at it.

If you also have a Facebook page and got a message like this, preview it. The most shocking thing is that it's look like the Facebook timeline Profile ! However it's on you to switch Timeline or not, but for pages, Facebook said it that all your Facebook pages will automatically change to this new look.

Facebook should realize that 75% of people din't like the timeline itself, then why another timeline for pages?Although Facebook should give an option to either keep it or not, they said all pages will automatically get the new look, however the timeline for pages looks somewhere good, but for pages it will look so weird, it's only page where we can go and see new pictures uploaded in an order, but after the new look will be in, all experienced will be spoiled i think. How weird it will look, you can see on this page .

People who love the old classic look of Facebook pages are not likely to accept the new page look, Facebook always gives heart attack to their user by not providing any switch off 'timeline' button or something like that.

If we compare Facebook to Google, Google is good at giving the user option either to keep the new change or switch back to the old, but Facebook never provided anything like that, if you are a blogger or an Gmail user then you should have come over some times when Google made changes to their look but they always keep the power to change to new or not to the user.

However i would not like to change my Public figure Facebook page to the new looks, i didn't even switched to Timeline, because i already tried it when it was not released for general public. So Facebook page owners you like it or not you will be force fully applied to you, once it releases, we will try to do something about it.

Is Facebook employees not able to make any option to switch to new look or old look, or Facebook want their new design to be applied by all Facebook user?

The only thing left with white background is the home page/news feed page, I beg Facebook not to make any further changes to it, or i will quit Facebook and switch to Google+ forever. If you think Facebook is not doing good anymore you may switch to Google+, it's better, the problem is that not most of our friends are on Google+ that's why i have to open my Facebook.

Brand New Feature

The only feature in new look for pages that caught my attention is the 'Milestone', where we can create a even which describe any milestone the page has completed like reaching 1 million likes or any other milestones, it will be highlighted in page, so that everyone can see it.

Pages that already applied the new look

Go back in past of Websites

You fond some sites that are very popular, like Matt Cutt's blog and after browsing it for sometime, some thought come into your mind that how this site used to look in early days when it was new. But you can't find anyway to do it, other than asking a scientist for an "Time Machine".

Ohh, don't worry, we have an easy way to do it. Archive.org is an website, which keeps records and archive of all online contents that went popular, all the sites are crawled by their server and saved on it, to serve people an snap shot of the website at that time.

The snapshot are not actually pictures, it's an HTML document generally used by a website, thus if an image was there on an website and later it was deleted from the server then the images won't be showed in the archive of the website. In easy words, they capture the site's HTML, and save it on their server.

You can easily check any website's past by going to Archive.org and entering the URL in this box.Enter your desired URL and click on Take me Back. Now you can select website at what time you want to see.

How to archive your blog also

If you have a new blog or website, even it's 1 or 2 year old, it will be not crawled by archive.org, if you or not anyone has searched the site on archive.org, so if you want your blog or website to be crawled by them, you or anyone has to search your blog in archive.org, after a few months your website will also start appearing on archive.org archives.

Blogs turned to .in from .com !

Today when I opened my blog , and was reading some articles on it to correct them, I noticed something strange and different, the address bar was giving the feel it used to give before it was only because the URL of my blog changed to .in from .com I was really shocked that what had happen, i did nothing yesterday or today to the settings, so what's the problem is ? So to satisfy myself, i tried to open my friend's blog who is also an Indian and his blog was also changed to .in from .com

Then i came to know that the change was not only to my blog, but to all blog that did not have a paid domain. Only Indians, having a blog a address which was following .blogspot.com changed to .blogspot.in

We all know, there are many types of extension like .in, .com, .net, .org, .info etc. Some of extension describing the type of website, and other's like .in, .pak, .au etc. describes the country, the website belong from. To see a full list please visit this PAGE

The .in extension is for websites in India, i am from India and all other blogs from India which has not been registered with paid domains changed to .in from .com, So does it mean, that blogs from other countries which has not been registered for domain names also changed to their respective country website extension. I have not found any blog yet.

It's not a problem at all that the blogs changed to .in from .com, because if we yet type the address like stramaxon.blogspot.com it will redirect us to stramaxon.blogspot.in.

Unfortunately not even Google told us the reason that why it changed blog's address to .in, maybe it's to early, they will give reason afterwards, although we don't have any problem. But I am very curious about 'why this happened', maybe in future Google will give the reason.

Thank you for readin. Do comment.

How to remove the new Facebook Timeline profile

About 80% of people on Facebook has the new Facebook timeline when they saw the invitation to integrate it , without and knowledge about the new timeline they integrated it , but when it was in beta mode i already tried the Timeline so i knew how it was thus i didn't integrated timeline after it launched to the general users.

If you have done research you came to know that there's no way to remove the timeline directly from Facebook and but there's an unethical way to remove it is pretending that you are using IE 7 (Internet Explorer 7) as IE 7 don't support the new Facebook timeline. Don't worry , now i will not tell you to use IE 7 there's a app called USER AGENT which can pretend that chrome is IE 7 , thus you can get rid of the timeline.

You may use these browsers. I recommend Chrome

Chrome on Windows 7 or vista

If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7 the command in the file that will run Chrome with IE7 as the user agent is as follows :
"%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --user-agent="Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0)"

  1. Download ("Right Click" the link and save it to your "Desktop")
  2. After you have downloaded the .bat file, make sure you close *all* open Chrome windows, then click it and it will run Chrome with "IE7" as its "user agent".
  3. Next Install the F.B. Purity browser extension, as it will fix a lot of the display glitches that will occur when you have your browser set to impersonate IE7.
  4. Now visit a Timeline page, and you will see that it is now displayed as a normal, old style profile page.
  5. Please click the "like" button, to let all your friends know they can also get rid of Timeline:
